How may I backup the software ?

Use any standard backup method like a tape drive, zip drive, CD-R etc.  If you don't have any backup hardware, then follow this procedure to at least have a second copy on your hard drive.
Use Microsoft Backup included with Windows 95 or 98.
Choose Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Backup
If you dont have Backup, then install it from control panel add/remove programs using system tools under the setup tab.

backup1.jpg (52465 bytes)

Click on the + sign next to the C: drive, then click on the box next to the ciswin folder.  This will put a check mark into the box.
Choose File in the where to backup section and call the name A:\ciswin.qic    See below.

backup2.jpg (54468 bytes)

Choose Options and turn off the verify option.

backup3.jpg (31800 bytes)

Then choose OK.

Choose Job at the top left corner of the window, then choose Save As.

backup4.jpg (15977 bytes)

Give the backup job a name like ciswin files. Then choose Save.

Get 3 or 4 blank disks and put one in the disk drive.  The number of disks needed will be determined by how many clients your have entered in the program.

Press the Start button.

A window will open up and the backup will start

backup5.jpg (28369 bytes)

Input additional disks as needed (the program will ask you to).

backup6.jpg (8730 bytes)

Label each disk as disk 1, 2 etc.  Store them away from the center in case of a fire or theft etc.

Close the backup program when it is done.

Back up CISWIN data files regularly.
