This document will explain how to manage your client records to be assured of getting accurate information on the Care Net Annual Report.

CISWIN Version 1.4 was developed with this report in mind. Because Care Net is very specific on how to calculate statistics for their report, we have made some subtle changes to the client record to accommodate your data tracking.

When Care Net refers to a pregnant client, this could be a client who tested positive at your center or a client who was tested elsewhere and no test was given at your center. Because of this, we have added a "Pregnancy Confirmed" checkbox. For those who did take a test at your center and results were positive, this box is checked automatically when test results are entered in the contact screen. For those who tested positive elsewhere, you must manually check this box.

Care Net also wants statistics regarding demographics and pregnancy intentions to be tracked only for those clients who came to your center for peer counseling and not for those who came in for support services only. Because of this we have added a Support Services Only checkbox in the contact record. If you currently have a choice in your Reason for Contact field that is either Services Only or Support Services Only, by making that selection the Support Services Only box will be checked automatically.

Because many of the questions on the Care Net report involve CISWIN fields that allow user customization, we have built the following links into CISWIN to offer more flexibility for our users. Because CISWIN is shipped with these options preset in your master lists, most of our centers are already setup. If not, make sure your master lists are set to match one of the options listed below for each of the following questions on the report.
